Rothbury Music Festival…… Madison House Presents, one of the largest concert promoters in the world wants to create a 4 day annual concert event in the sleepy hamlet of Rothbury Michigan. The next Woodstock? It will definitley put itself on the entertainment and environmental map this summer.
In a partnership with AEG Live, and Double JJ Ranch will play host to a four-day “sustainable festival celebrating music, art and action.” The July 4 weekend event at the regional Double JJ Ranch and Resort will be headlined by the Dave Matthews Band on Saturday night and will include up to 70 bands during the four-day camping style festival.
Tickets for the Rothbury Festival cost $244 for the entire four day event and will be on sale Feb. 27. Event patrons may leave the grounds or choose to see only one band, however passes still cost $244.
Festival officials are recommending Rothbury concert goers to come and camp at the expansive Rothbury Music Festival site, there will also be food vendors, and campsites will be available.
Those attendees who choose to camp will also be able to bring in their own food and beverages.
ROTHBURY Music Festival will also headline major artists including John Mayer and Phil Lesh & Friends Sunday night and Widespread Panic Friday night for the camp-in music and environmental festival that aims to draw in 50,000 fans.
Popular hip hop artist and actor Snoop Dog is also billed to perform at ROTHBURY.
In addition to the music acts, the Rothbury Festival will feature environmentmental awarenes through educational booths and programs.
Madison House — located in Boulder, Colorado expects 30,000-40,000 fans the first year in what is said to be a long term lease of the 2,000-acre resort known as the Double JJ.
The press release announcement for the July 3-6 event includes more than 70 acts that are in the rock, bluegrass, world music and jazz genres.
