New music recently added to line-up that actually should be psoted ABOVE Dave Mathews Band (sorry DMB groopies) and that is Rodrigo y Gabriela. They are playing to crowds of 100,000+ in Mexico. Nothing fancy about these two kids; blue jeans with holes in them, two guitars, no back up, sitting on metal chairs and playing with all their soul. Check out You Tube video of Diablo Rojo.
wow !! ………apparantly I’ve got a lot of practice in front of me …………they were great in their simplisity and power !! ………..I’ve gotta incorporate some pecussion into my guitar work …………thanks for the inspiration
Note for Gary and any other aspiring guitar players…at end of this video is a link at bottom to another tutorial video by Rodrigo and Gabriela titled something like “guitar tips.” This is just as amazing as their live performance. You cannot believe how fast her hands are playing a tune. No trick photography, just lots of practice. Lots of great tips on how they do what they do in concert.
